Moore's law-Review

Review of Moore's law :

 Gordon Moore
     (Co-Founder : Intel)

According to Moore’s Law, the number of transistors on a chip roughly doubles  every two years. As a result the scale gets smaller and smaller.

Review of Moore's law.
The above chart shows the activeness of Moore's law where the number of transistors in an IC is doubled every 2 years.

  - For the past 4 decades the moore's law is active
 - Intel is trying to extend the lifetime of moore's law  by introducing Ivy bridge processor, which uses 22nm   transistor with tri-gate (3d transistor) technology.
-  Their past processor uses 45nm transistors.
- By this intel reduced the half of the size of  transistor which leads to integrate double the number of transistors which is in their previous processor.

 * But AMD is claiming that Moore's law is dead.
 * Anyhow Moore's law will be dead after 10 years , Now intel is on the way to extend the lifetime of Moore's law by doing research on more smaller transistors.
